</blockquote>

<p>These verses offer helpful wisdom on what it looks like to trust God wholeheartedly. Let&#8217;s walk through this scripture and consider how we can choose, once again today, to <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/walking-in-the-footsteps-of-christ-living-out-1-john-26/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">trust in the Lord</a> with all our hearts. </p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2940" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-4-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>To trust in the Lord with all your heart is to surrender every aspect of your being to Him. It requires a deep-seated faith that goes beyond mere intellectual assent. We are well-versed in discussing the idea of trusting Him, but so often, there remain corners of our hearts and lives that, if we&#8217;re honest, we are scared to fully hand over to God. </p>

<p>Yet, as we look at the Word, we see time and time again a God we can trust. We see a God who is good and faithful. Jackie Hill Perry articulates this beautifully:</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em>&#8220;If God is holy, then He can&#8217;t sin. If God can&#8217;t sin, then He can&#8217;t sin against me. If He can&#8217;t sin against me, shouldn&#8217;t that make Him the most trustworthy being there is?&#8221;</em></p>
</blockquote>

<p>With that in mind, trusting God with our whole heart, especially with the things that feel safer to keep in our own control, is a profound act of worship.&nbsp;</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2941" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-5-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As humans, we are limited and finite beings. However, we tend to push past our limitations and figure things out on our own. We lean on our own wisdom and understanding, even though our perspective and experience are so often limited. <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Proverbs+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Proverbs 3:5</a> tells us not to put the full weight of our trust on our own understanding but to lean wholly on God instead. </p>

<p>This doesn&#8217;t mean we don&#8217;t use God-given wisdom or the counsel of godly people in our lives, but it does mean we don&#8217;t allow our human understanding to serve as the ultimate authority on how we live and make decisions. Trusting in God means acknowledging our finite wisdom and choosing to rely on His infinite knowledge and understanding. It involves surrendering our need for control and embracing His ways, knowing He sees the bigger picture beyond our comprehension.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2942" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Submitting-to-Him-in-All-Your-Ways.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>True trust in God extends beyond mere words or fleeting emotions; it manifests in our actions and choices. It is to invite His presence into every aspect of our lives &#8211; our decisions, relationships, dreams, and fears. It is a conscious recognition that He is not merely a distant observer but an active participant in our journey. The word <em>&#8220;all&#8221;</em> in this verse is a challenging one. </p>

<p><a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/living-a-life-of-sacrifice-finding-fulfillment-in-serving-god/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Submitting</a> to Him or, in another translation, <em>&#8220;acknowledging Him&#8221;</em> in <strong><em>all</em></strong> our ways entails aligning every area of our lives with His will. It means seeking His guidance in decisions big and small, trusting that He will direct our steps. </p>

<p>This verse encourages us to ask, <em>&#8220;Are there any areas of my life that I have sectioned off from God rather than acknowledging Him and asking Him to speak into how I&#8217;ve been operating?</em>&#8220;</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2943" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-of-Straight-Paths.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As we wholeheartedly trust in the Lord, leaning not on our own understanding but submitting to Him in all our ways, we are met with a beautiful promise: <strong><em>He</em></strong> will make our paths straight. What a comforting truth that <strong><em>He</em></strong> is the One who makes our paths straight, not us.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2944" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle-300x225.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle-768x576.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Trust-as-a-Lifestyle.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Trusting in God is not a one-time decision but a continuous journey of faith and dependence on Him. It is a lifestyle characterized by intimacy with God, reliance on His promises, and obedience to His word.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wherever we find ourselves today, we can look to <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Proverbs+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Proverbs 3:5-6</a> as a source of strength and encouragement. May this scripture serve as a reminder that when we place our trust in the Lord, He faithfully leads us on paths of righteousness for His name&#8217;s sake.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
