In the West, Christians often take for granted the availability of the Gospel and Biblical resources. Churches are readily visible, Bibles are readily available, and religious freedom, though changing, is still a basic right. Secret gatherings aren’t necessary and believers can sing boldly and loudly without fear of consequences.

When I moved to Indonesia, I realized how much I really had taken for granted. I can’t remember a time when I hadn’t heard of what Jesus Christ did on the cross for me. And I definitely can’t remember a time where I wasn’t able to find at least one follower of Jesus in any city. And yet, in the fourth most populated country in the world where about 90% of the population identifies as Muslim, I feel the burden for the lost more than ever before.

I specifically remember feeling impacted by our first train ride through our island. The train passed through countless villages and towns that have likely never had someone tell them about Jesus. Would someone ever make it to these towns? Who will go? These towns are hours away from my town by train, longer by car. And months later, this feeling has been reinforced by travel to other islands. From a plane or boat you can see many smaller islands, far from the mainland, with clusters of houses on them. Has the name of Jesus ever made it to these islands? Who will brave the long journey to get there and tell them their sins have been forgiven through Christ?

Why We Stay

So this is why we stay. Even when days are hard and culture kicks our rear ends. Even through endless battles of mold and rats and insects. Even when it feels like the harvest is not plentiful. We stay in a country where hundreds of people groups are still unreached and many of those don’t even have the Bible in their own language. We remember Paul’s reminder in Romans 10 that someone must tell of Jesus so that people can hear and believe. We cling to the promise of Isaiah 55:11 that His Word does not return empty when it goes out. We remember stories where groups came to faith years after someone initially told them about the gift of salvation. And we hope. We hope in the promise of Revelation 7:9-10 and trust God that EVERY tribe, tongue, and nation will be represented before the throne of the Almighty and praise God that we get to play a small part of that promise.

Final thought: If you think God may be calling you overseas, please do not hesitate to follow His call! The harvest truly is plentiful and the workers really are few. No matter where He leads, He is faithful to equip and provide.

“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’” Romans 10:14-15

Prayer Requests:

Pray that Indonesian Christians would reach out to the unreached

Pray that every people group would hear the name of Jesus in this lifetime

Pray that that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts of those who have heard and will hear the Gospel

Pray that God’s word will not return void

Pray for a movement in Indonesia with millions of people believing in the name of Jesus

“Ida Sanghyang Yesus”

Noman responded to a Facebook advertisement that our media ministry team launched. The question was “Do you know whether your good deeds are enough to erase your sins?” Noman clicked the “send a message” button and answered “No.”

We started chatting and Noman shared about his financial struggles. He had a large amount of debt to pay and it was due the next day. He had no money left and had used his relative’s assets as collateral and he was afraid of leaving his relatives with more debt. As a result, Noman had suicidal thoughts because he was so desperate.

After he shared about his struggles, I encouraged him to pray and ask God for His help. Noman said that he prayed every single day according to his belief, which was the Hindu religion. I then asked him whether he wanted to know how he can clean his heart from sin and draw closer to God. Noman said yes! This led me to share in detail the Gospel, from the story of Adam and Eve, Jesus’ birth, His life on earth, Jesus becoming the sacrifice for the sins of humanity, and His resurrection. Noman, after hearing the whole gospel, decided he wanted to believe in “Ida Sangyang Yesus,” which is how Hindus refer to The Lord Jesus.

Later, towards the end of our conversation, I led Noman through the salvation prayer and asked him how he felt after praying. Noman said that he felt relieved and that he chooses to surrender his life to Christ. I connected Noman to my friend, Neil, who lives near Noman. They met up one day and Neil shared the Gospel once more. Praise God Noman decided to give his life to Jesus and was baptized by Neil a few weeks later! Praise God!

Social media has so much evil in it these days. What the enemy intended for evil, God uses for His glory. Our media ministry team is working to saturate social media with the Gospel.

Here’s how you can pray:

Pray that more unreached peoples hear the Gospel.

That we as a team are reminded to surrender our best ideas to the Lord, and that we follow His plans.

Pray that we can grow our media ministry team because of the high demand of spiritual conversations online!

That every word we share on social media leads others closer to Him.

I have been in and or communicating with Indonesia for over 4 years. I knew when I moved there after COVID that I wanted to live with an Indonesian family or have an Indonesian roommate. God didn’t answer my prayer before I left but soon after arriving in Southeast Asia.

One day I was at the market and I met a young man that was 24 years old that spoke English fluently. The English fluency was not my goal but it was God’s gift. We met several times for a meal to get to know each other. One time while eating, we were discussing about where I lived and I told him I was looking for an local roommate to help me learn culture and language.

As God has answered my prayers historically. He always exceeds my expectations or my wildest dreams on what I was praying about. He did it again, and my new friend moved in. My highly intelligent roommate who had humble servants heart began to humbly serve me in ways I had never experienced before.

We soon began to have spiritual conversations after he moved in. My spirit told me that he was open and seeking. He currently identifies as a Muslim. He liked the Christian faith but his stumbling block was the three gods that he thought we worshiped and that confused him.

I gave him an illustration about our own physical body to help him understand the Trinity. My head being the Godhead, and in my body being Christ and the Holy Spirit being my heart. The hands and the feet can do nothing without the head, giving the hands and feet instructions. My core being my heart is what is guided by my head (God). My prayer is that my head, my body and my core work in perfect unity. Because I am broken, this is an imperfect example and my heart is deceptive. However, the God head is perfect, Jesus (hands and feet) are perfect and the Holy Spirit is perfect. They are able to be the perfect triune God.

My roommate is still a Muslim however when I was leaving to come back to America he told me that when I shared the Gospel with him he knew that I cared about him. That was powerful to me. It encouraged me to always share the truth, and it is because I care and try to tell about Jesus to all I meet. My roommate is still open and is studying Hebrew and Greek so he can understand original scripture writing better. (I told you he was smart). He also told me that if he found a flaw in the Quran that he would leave that faith.

The post God Provides a Spiritually Seeking Roommate first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.

What is Java?

When most people hear the word “Java” they immediately think of coffee. This is because a lot of coffee comes from the island of Java in Indonesia.

Java is one of the largest islands in Indonesia (out of 17,000!). Even though it is roughly the size of Tennessee, 56% of the the population of Indonesia lives on Java. That’s about 152 million people! Think about half the population of America living in Tennessee!

There are many people groups living on the island of Java but the largest are the Javanese and the Sundanese. The Sundanese are the largest unreached people group in Indonesia.

What if Java was covered with prayer by saints all over the world? If there was a movement of God on this island, most of Indonesia would be exposed to the gospel!

Join us in praying for the island of Java today.

Pray for Javanese believers

The Javanese are the largest people group in Indonesia. They are predominately Muslim, but are considered reached because there are around 9.44% evangelicals. Most of the Javanese Christians live in the large cities. Pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ to abide in Jesus and grow in their faith. Pray they would have boldness to share the hope they have in Christ with their families, friends, coworkers and neighbors. Lord, we want to see more harvesters sent out from the Javanese people to reach other UPGs in Indonesia!

Pray for the Sundanese

Sunda is the largest UPG in Indonesia with around 38 million people located in West Java. Only 0.05% are evangelicals with the majority being Muslim. The Sundanese are known for their kindness and believe that having the Sundanese character is the best path of life.

Pray for:

The Sundanese to walk in the Light, confess their sins, and be cleansed from all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7-9)

Boldness for the Sundanese believers and church planters to proclaim the gospel and disciple others

Perseverance and strength for Sundanese who are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus

Jakarta is the largest city (and capital) in Indonesia located in West Java. Surabaya is not as known but it is the second largest city located in East Java. There are around 3 million people in Surabaya. Pray for unity among churches in these large cities. Ask God to help believers understand the Great Commission and be bold in sharing the gospel with those who don’t know Christ in these cities.

Pray for those from other islands living in Java

Many people from all over Indonesia come to Java to find work. Most of them live in the large cities of Jakarta and Surabaya. There are Indonesians from many of the 240 unreached people groups coming to this island. Pray for these Indonesians to have an opportunity to hear the gospel in Java. Pray that God would connect them to Christians who would disciple them and teach them how to have a relationship with Jesus. Ask God to send these believers back to their people groups to lead many of their people to Him.

The post How to Pray for Java first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.

If you would have told me in high school that I would move to the other side of the world 5 years later and spend years of my life as a missionary, I would have thought you were crazy. I had no intention to leave the comforts of my life in America – especially my family- to share Christ with Muslims. My plan was to get a science degree, become a physicians assistant or Dentist, get married, have kids and enjoy life in America.

But God had other plans and He would soon break my heart for Muslims who do not have the opportunity to hear about Jesus.

Growth in College

I became a believer when I was 15 years old. When I started college, I was intentional to find a Christian community. I got involved in Cru and grew so much in my faith during my college years. As a freshman, I started going out in between classes to share the gospel with other college students. I realized as Christians, we are called to share our faith and make disciples. I enjoyed getting to do that and give people the opportunity to hear the gospel!

After my sophomore year, I went on my first overseas trip to the Middle East to learn Arabic and share with college students in a large city there. This was my first exposure to sharing with Muslims and meeting people who had no idea who Jesus was. They didn’t even have Christian friends who could tell them the love God has for them. As I became friends with these girls, drank tea and ate with them, God broke my heart for Muslims. I wanted them to have eternal hope that I had. I felt so sad how a billion people on this planet were blinded from the truth from Islam.

Coming back from that trip, my perspective changed. I wanted to be more intentional with international students and refugees in America. I started to think “What if I move to a Muslim country after college?” It was a scary and exciting thought at the same time.

Unreached?

God continued to grow that desire to love and share Christ with Muslims. I took a class called Perspectives and first learned that there are still 3 billion people in the world who have not heard the gospel of Jesus and are considered “unreached.” I was shocked that there were still over 6,000 unreached people groups and very few missionaries among them. Most missionaries were serving in reached areas. The only way they would hear about Jesus was if someone from an outside culture went to them.

The amount of work still needed to be done to spread the glory of God to the ends of the earth was overwhelming. I asked God, “Show me what you want me to do to be apart of the Great Commission – to make disciples of all nations. I am willing, Lord!”

Leading me to Indonesia

Over the next year, He made it clear that He wanted me to go and serve in a Muslim country. So I began the process to pray about where He wanted me to go and when. I joined a missionary training program through church and spent 9 months reaching out to refugees and preparing to move overseas. Through different connections, God led me to a team in Indonesia.

I actually knew very little about Indonesia. I had no idea it was the largest Muslim country in the world with 220 million Muslims. But I was willing and ready to be used by God to make Him known there.

The next 4 years would be the hardest and best years of my life. God moved in amazing ways and most of all worked in my heart in ways I never would have imagined. I understood that it was the greatest privilege to join in His work of sharing the gospel and discipling new sisters in Christ.

No matter where we are in the world, we get to glorify Him and bring the most amazing news of salvation to those around us. He didn’t have to use us, but He chose to use His children to spread to gospel to the nations. He is the one changing hearts, we just have to be obedient!

For His Glory,

Just think about the times you get together with your best friend or a close family member. Time always flies when you are with this person. Talking for an hour is nothing because there is always so much you guys catch up on.

What if our prayer times with God looked like this? Have you struggled in your prayer times and have felt so distracted that its hard to pray even for a few minutes? Why is it so hard to pray sometimes?

This is a common struggle Christians have. We have to recognize that there is spiritual warfare going on when we come before the Father and pray His will. Satan does not want us to do this so of course there will be many distractions.

That is why we need to pray even harder and find ways to focus during this time so we can really meet with God, talk with him from our heart, and listen to what He has to say.

This guide is a great way to be intentional in your prayer time and even pray for an hour like its nothing! The 1 hour prayer wheel will help you can stay focused and enjoy your time in the presence of God as you split up the time into 12 increments of 5 minutes each. I pray it grows your prayer life and leads you to pray deeper, more intentional prayers.

Praise

Recognize God’s Nature – Psalm 52:9

“For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.”

Praise God by remembering his attributes – His goodness, mercy, grace, steadfast love, kindness, etc. Praise Him for what He has done in your life.

Waiting

Silent Soul Surrender – Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” Psalm 25:4-5

Sit at the feet of Jesus and wait on Him. Be still and quiet and wait to see what He has for you. Ask Him to lead you in truth in this time.

Confession

Temple Cleansing Time – Psalm 139:23

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”

Ask God to reveal any sin in your life and confess that sin to Him. Repent of it and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Scripture Praying

Word Enriched Prayer – Hebrews 4:12

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Choose a passage of scripture (maybe one of the Psalms or what you have been reading recently). As you read the Word, use each verse as a prayer to God.

Watching

Develop Holy Alertness – Colossians 4:2

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

As you pray be alert and watch the thoughts coming in your head. Do you have distractions? Acknowledge those and lay them aside. Are you being tempted? Ask God to help you. Are you thinking about the Lord? Continue to dwell on His goodness and express your gratitude to Him. Is a specific person coming to your mind? Pray for that person because the Holy Spirit is putting them on your heart for a reason!

Intercession

Remember the World – 1 Timothy 2:1-2

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Spend this time praying for others- family members, friends, neighbors. Also pray for the world. For unreached people groups to have access to the gospel. Pray for persecuted Christians of the world to remain steadfast in their faith.

Petition

Share Personal Needs – Matthew 7:7

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Bring personal prayer requests you have to the Lord and talk to Him about what has been on your heart, what you are worried about, what you are struggling with.

Thanksgiving

Confess My Blessings – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Spend time thanking God for the blessings in your life. There is so much to be thankful for even in hard seasons!

Singing

Worship in Song – Psalm 100:2

“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”

Pick your favorite worship song or hymn and sing that as a prayer to the Lord.

Meditation

Ponder Spiritual Themes – Joshua 1:8

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

This would be a great time to memorize a verse or call to mind verses you have already memorized. Meditate on the Word and us the verses as prayers.

Listening

Receive Spiritual Instruction – Ecclesiastes 5:2

“Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.”

Spend the next 5 minutes just listening to God. Don’t try to speak or let your thoughts wonder. Ask God to speak to You and help you to listen what He has to say during this time.

Praise

Worship the Lord for who He is – Psalm 148:1-6

“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord!

1. Pray every day for Indonesia

Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do. It’s amazing how we can talk to God wherever we are and intercede for a whole nation. No prayer request is too big for God! Start taking a few minutes out of your day to pray for Indonesia. God is listening and has promised He will answer our prayers if it aligns with His will (1 John 5:14-15). His desire is for everyone to be saved! (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

Pray for Indonesian believers to be strengthened in their faith and rise up to take the gospel to every part of Indonesia. Pray for the people living in unreached areas to have access to the gospel through media ministries and people sharing with them. Ask God to move in a powerful way in Indonesia so that millions of Indonesians place their hope in Him. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get daily prayer requests for Indonesia.

2. Go on a short term trip to Indonesia

There are many ministries working in Indonesia and most of them host short term teams to come and join the work for anywhere from a week to months at a time. Pray about going on a short term trip this year to Indonesia. Short term teams can help long term teams immensely as they partner with them to share the gospel and find persons of peace in Indonesia. These trips will open your eyes to the lostness in these unreached areas and break your heart for people who are in spiritual darkness. You can greatly impact Indonesia by going and proclaiming the Good News to people who desperately need to hear!

3. Pray and fast for Muslims during Ramadan

Every year Muslims will spend a month fasting from sunrise to sunset. This month is called Ramadan. Ramadan 2023 will be from March 22 – April 21. Fasting during Ramadan is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. They will seek blessings and rewards from God as they fast each day. Around 220 million Muslims in Indonesia will be celebrating Ramadan this year. This is a crucial time to be praying for them! We can pray as they are seeking God this month that they find the Truth in Him and a relationship through Jesus. Consider fasting one day that month or once a week for Muslims in Indonesia to encounter Christ through dreams and visions and have an opportunity to hear the gospel.

The post 3 Ways You Can Impact Indonesia in 2023 first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.

3 Prayers for Indonesian Christians

1. “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). – Matthew 1:23

Lord, we pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their faith in You. Help them remain steadfast in their love for you and draw near to You this Christmas. Remind them that You are Immanuel, God with us. You are taking care of them and providing for their needs.

2. “Since we have such a hope, we are very bold.” – 2 Corinthians 3:12

Give Indonesians a boldness to share their faith with others this Christmas with the strength that only comes from You. We pray for many opportunities for them to share the Christmas story with their families, neighbors, friends and coworkers.

3. “so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 15:6

Unify the Indonesian Church in Your name, Jesus. Give them all a desire to take the gospel to every UPG in Indonesia and help them work together to accomplish that task. We pray more and more churches would be trained to share the gospel with Muslims.

3 Prayers for Indonesian Muslims

4. “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4

Father, tear down barriers of Islam and the stronghold it has on this country. We pray the 220 million Muslims would find freedom in Christ from the bondage of Islam.

5. “Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.” – Hebrews 1:1-2

Give Muslims a desire to read the Bible and learn more about Jesus. Reveal yourself to them, Lord, through believers proclaiming the Gospel, media ministries, dreams, and miracles.

6. “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” – Galatians 1:3–5

Help Indonesian Muslims understand that Jesus is God and died for the forgiveness of sins. He wasn’t just a prophet, but the Savior of the world who is worthy of all worship. God, draw Muslims to Yourself this Christmas. We pray they would want to know Truth, hear the Christmas story and understand why Jesus came to earth as a baby. This was Your plan from the beginning, Lord. Reveal it to Indonesians.

The post 6 Bible Verses to Lead You in Praying for Indonesians this Christmas first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.

Thankful for Raising up Indonesian Laborers

Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are answering the prayer of Luke 10:2 in Indonesia. Thank you for raising up Indonesian workers to be sent out into the harvest field.

“He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Thank you for the many ministries that are focused on the unreached and training Indonesians to be church planters and evangelists. Thank you for their boldness, willingness, and faithfulness to proclaim the Good News to their people.

Lord, we pray for more Indonesians to be sent out so that every UPG in Indonesia has a gospel witness. We pray for every man, woman, and child in Indonesia to hear the gospel in our lifetime!

Thankful for Opening the Eyes of Muslims

Father, you are moving among Muslims in Indonesia. Thank you for opening their eyes to the bondage of Islam. Thank you that many hear the gospel, read stories from the Bible and surrender their lives to you.

You are our faithful God who answers our prayers! Thank you for using dreams to lead many Muslims to you. Continue to reveal yourself to Indonesians through dreams, visions, and miracles.

We ask that you would bring millions of Muslims in Indonesia from darkness to light. Would they believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and find abundant, everlasting life through Him.

Thankful for the Bible being Translated into Local Languages

Lord, thank you for the many Bible translation projects going on in Indonesia. There are more than 700 ethnic languages in Indonesia and only 10% have portions of the Bible translated. We thank you that the New Testament was recently translated into the Osing and Tengger languages in East Java.

Please raise up Indonesian believers to start translating the Bible to their heart language. Send Bible translation teams to unreached people groups to learn the language and culture well in order to translate the Bible.

We thank you for ministries like Wycliffe Bible Translators who have a new goal to see a Bible translation project started in every language needing one by 2025! They are starting 30 projects in Indonesia soon. Thank you for YouVersion and illumiNations who are translating the New Testament in every language by 2033. Bless these ministries and provide all the funds so that these translation projects can be completed and put into the hands of the local people.

Thank you that we can confidently approach Your throne and pray alongside your heart. We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

The post 3 Prayers of Thankfulness for What God is Doing in Indonesia first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.

Do you want to be used by God to change the world? There are so many ways to take part in what God is doing around the world. Prayer is the most crucial which is explained more in depth in this article. Here are 7 other ways you can be involved in God’s work.

1. Give to churches, missionaries and ministries working among the unreached

Did you know that most of the money given to missions goes to those working in reached areas? Only about 0.5% actually goes to work in unreached people groups. But that is where most of the need is! Consider supporting a missionary who is living among the unreached (missionaries are usually lacking support). If you don’t know a missionary personally you can give to your church who is supporting missionaries or ministries who send workers to the unreached. There are so many opportunities to help pay for bibles, Bible translation work, or support for national partners.

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” 2 Chronicles 29:14

2. Go on a short term trip

There are so many ministries who have hundreds of short-term trips throughout the year to almost any country. You can contact ministries like the IMB, East West Ministries International, Beyond and many others to see if there is a short-term trip you can be apart of. Look for ones that work with long-term and national partners there so you can help further the work they are doing. Short-term trips are a great way to share the gospel with many people in a short period of time. This helps locate persons of peace that the long term workers can follow up with!

3. Volunteer with refugees in your city

In most cities there are thousands of refugees from war-torn countries. Most of these countries are majority Muslim like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and West Africa. Connect with a refugee center in your city to see how you can get involved and help out. They are always in need of donations and people to help deliver furniture. There is also a need to help teach English to refugees. This is a great way to develop relationships with people from unreached people groups and share the gospel with them! You can also invite them to their home (most likely they will invite you to their home first!)

4. Move to an unreached area

There is a huge need of faithful believers committed to learning the language and culture and working with a church-planting team. This also includes training national believers to share the gospel and plant churches among their people. Only 2.7% of missionaries are working among a UPG. There is a massive need for church-planting teams to focus on the UPGs and UUPGs of the world. Start by praying and asking God where He wants you to go and with what ministry. Before moving overseas there will be lots of training for learning a language, living in a different culture, and about church-planting.

5. Invite your neighbor over for dinner

Being intentional with your neighbors is a huge way you can be involved in God’s work! Start conversations and develop relationships with them by inviting them over for dinner. When you take a walk around the neighborhood, pray for your neighbors as you walk by their house. God placed you in that neighborhood for a reason and He will use you to reach those who don’t know Him yet!

6. Share the gospel with your coworker

Your workplace is another crucial area you can glorify God in. You are with your coworkers most of the day and as you get to know them you can start sharing your faith. In conversations, try to bring up God and see how your coworker responds. Invite them to church and pray for them if they are hurting or dealing with a crisis. Use every opportunity to glorify the Lord! He will move powerfully through your efforts. If there are other believers in your workplace, consider starting a prayer group or a Bible study with them before work or during a lunch break. Then invite other coworkers to join!

7. Adopt an unreached people group

You and/or your bible study or church can “adopt” an unreached people group in Indonesia to pray regularly for. Do research about that unreached people group. Where are they located in Indonesia? What are their lives like? Are there any church-planting teams focused on reaching them? What are their specific needs? Visit Joshua Project to see all the unreached people groups in Indonesia and detailed information about each one. You can connect with long term workers among that people group and even plan short term trips to do prayer walks and share the gospel with the people.

There are so many ways you can be involved in God’s work both in your city and across the world! Pray and ask where God is leading you. Be obedient to share about Him with others! We are here on earth as Christ’s ambassadors and God wants to use us to lead others to the kingdom. This is the greatest work we could ever be apart of because we are doing it with the Lord and making an eternal impact!

“And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.” Acts 17:26-27

The post 7 Ways You Can Be Involved in God’s Work – Part 2 first appeared on Pray For Indonesia.
