<p>During a recent trip to a very unreached area, we had the unique privilege of seeing someone accept Jesus as Savior and choose to get <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/what-baptism-means-for-muslim-background-believers/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">baptized</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>One woman in this area had previously heard the <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/discovering-the-gospel-a-journey-to-hope-and-redemption/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">good news</a> from our teammates and had chosen to believe at that time. This woman&#8217;s husband stated that he didn&#8217;t want to follow Christ, but he did allow her to keep her beliefs. Since then, she has continued in her faith and has been praying for her husband&nbsp;to believe.&nbsp;</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-1024x683.jpg" alt="The Inspiring Story of a Life Transformed by the Gospel " class="wp-image-3252" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/bernard-hermant-JaUgs9HIVx4-unsplash-2048x1365.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>On the last day of our visit, the woman noticed our teammates and invited them to her home to talk. While there, they were able to share the good news with her husband. He usually left the room when they talked about Christ, but this time he stayed.</p>

<p>After listening to them share, he burst into tears and told them he wanted to believe. After praying, stating his desire to receive Jesus,&nbsp;the group told the husband the story of the Ethiopian Eunuch who chose to get baptized immediately&nbsp;(<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Acts+8" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Acts 8:26-40</a>). In response,&nbsp;the husband&nbsp;told them he, too, wanted to get baptized!</p>

<p>This family was so happy to be united under Christ. Praise God for His persistence in reaching the lost and answering the prayer of this man&#8217;s wife!</p>

<p></p>

<p></p>
</div></div>

<p>The<a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/hope-and-redemption-the-gospels-influence-on-indonesias-society/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> gospel</a>, as defined in the Bible, originates from the Greek word &#8220;<em>euangelion</em>&#8220;, which translates to &#8220;<em>good news</em>&#8220;. </p>

<p>At its core, The Gospel is just that. It is the good news of God&#8217;s love for us and His plan to rescue fallen humanity to Himself through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins-1024x682.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2875" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Journey-Begins.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>To fully grasp the significance and beauty of the gospel, we have to look back to the second page of the Bible.</p>

<p>In the beginning, God created a good world free from sin and suffering. He formed humanity in His image, designed to live in intimate fellowship with Him. However, through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world. This fractured the relationship between God and humanity and introducing brokenness, pain, and death into the human experience.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption-1024x682.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2876" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Promise-Of-Redemption.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Yet, even in the midst of humanity&#8217;s rebellion, God&#8217;s love remained steadfast. He did not abandon His creation. Throughout the Old Testament, we see glimpses of His redemptive plan. From the promise of a Savior in <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Genesis+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Genesis 3:15</a> to the intricate system of sacrifices and offerings, the Old Testament foreshadowed the coming of a Redeemer who would ultimately restore the broken relationship between God and humanity. From the promise made to Abraham to the deliverance of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. God&#8217;s faithfulness shone through, pointing to a greater deliverance yet to come.</p>

<p>The prophets, inspired by the Holy Spirit, foretold the coming of a Messiah, a Savior who would bear the weight of sin and reconcile humanity to God. These prophecies painted a vivid picture of a suffering servant, one who would be rejected by men but ultimately triumph over sin and death.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="665" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment-1024x665.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2877" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment-1024x665.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment-300x195.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment-768x498.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment-1536x997.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/The-Fullfillment.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In the fullness of time, God&#8217;s redemptive plan reached its climax in the person of Jesus Christ. Born of a virgin, fully God and fully man, Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn&#8217;t live. His life, teachings, and miracles revealed that He was the Son of God.</p>

<p>Through His <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/the-ultimate-act-of-love-how-christ-laid-down-his-life-as-a-model-for-us-1-john-316/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">sacrificial death</a> on the cross, Jesus bore the punishment for sin, taking upon Himself the wrath of God that we deserved.&nbsp;</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/2+Corinthians+5" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">&#8220;For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.&#8221; -2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)</a></em></p>
</blockquote>

<p>But death could not hold Him captive, for on the third day, He rose again, conquering sin and death once and for all. The gospel message is the proclamation of this incredible truth: that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and granted eternal life.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2878" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Embracing-Redemption.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The gospel is not merely a historical account or a set of facts to be understood; it is a personal invitation to experience the transformative power of God&#8217;s grace. By acknowledging our sinful condition and placing our <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/embrace-radical-faith-unveiling-the-power-found-in-acts-18/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">faith</a> in Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God, adopted into His family, and granted the gift of eternal life.</p>

<p>This redemption is not earned through our own efforts but is freely given through the unmerited favor of God. What incredible news that our salvation rests solely on the finished work of Christ on the cross.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2879" style="width:1024px;height:auto" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Living-Out-The-Gospel.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Responding to this good news is not a one-time event but an invitation to a new way of life.&nbsp; As followers of Christ, we are called to live out the implications of the <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/hope-and-redemption-the-gospels-influence-on-indonesias-society/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">gospel </a>daily. This means continually turning from sin and walking in obedience to God&#8217;s Word. It means allowing the transformative power of the gospel to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions, enabling us to love God and love others more fully. It means pursuing holiness, loving others sacrificially, and sharing the good news of the gospel with those around us. It is a lifelong journey of growth, transformation, and obedience, empowered by the Holy Spirit and sustained by the promises of God&#8217;s Word.</p>

<p>As we embrace the gospel and allow it to permeate every aspect of our lives, we become ambassadors of hope and redemption in a world that desperately needs to hear this life-changing message. May we never lose sight of the truth that the gospel is not merely a message but a living reality that has the power to change lives, restore relationships, and ultimately bring glory to God.</p>

<p>Hidden away in the Amazon rainforest, a young woman named Elisabeth Elliot began a journey that would forever change the course of her life and the lives of countless others. Her tenacious faith, obedience to God, and commitment to sharing the gospel with those who had never heard would inspire generations to come as she dedicated her life to knowing Jesus and making Him known.</p>

<p>Born in 1926 in Belgium to Christian missionary parents, Elisabeth Elliot&#8217;s heart was stirred from a young age by the plight of those who had not yet heard the <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/challenges-encountered-when-sharing-the-gospel-with-muslims-from-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">gospel</a>. As she grew older, her desire to serve the Lord only intensified as she felt a deep calling to bring the message of salvation to the most remote and unreached corners of the world.</p>

<p>After completing her studies at Wheaton College, Elisabeth eventually set sail for Ecuador, where she would spend the next several years immersed in studying the culture and language of the people she came to serve. It was during this time that she, after years of waiting, finally married Jim Elliot, a former classmate and fellow missionary with a shared passion for reaching the lost.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="572" height="322" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Tragic-Loss-Unweavring-Faith.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2749" style="width:1016px;height:auto" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Tragic-Loss-Unweavring-Faith.jpg 572w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Tragic-Loss-Unweavring-Faith-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 572px) 100vw, 572px" /></figure>

<p>In 1956, just two years and three months after Elisabeth and Jim got married, tragedy struck when Jim and four other missionaries were brutally killed by the Waodani tribe, a group they had been trying to reach. The news of their deaths sent shockwaves through the Christian community. </p>

<p>The tragic deaths of Jim Elliot and his fellow missionaries at the hands of the Waodani tribe in 1956 could have marked the end of their mission there. However, in a remarkable display of faith and forgiveness, Jim&#8217;s widow, Elisabeth Elliot, returned to the very tribe that had killed her husband, determined to continue their work. This may have surprised anyone who heard the story but not anyone who knew Elisabeth.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Driven by an unwavering commitment to God&#8217;s love and a desire to reach the Waodani, Elisabeth and others began learning the language and building relationships with the Waodani. Her decision to forgive rather than retaliate had a profound impact on the Waodani. In time, many of the very people who had killed the five men came to know God, their hearts softened by the witness of these courageous women.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the initial loss was devastating, the enduring legacy of these <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/5-prayers-for-persecuted-christians/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">martyrs</a> and those who went back as witnesses continues to inspire believers around the world to courageously follow Christ, no matter the cost.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance-1024x682.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2750" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Life-Of-Sacrifice-And-Perseverance.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As the years passed, Elisabeth&#8217;s influence and impact only grew. She became a renowned author, speaker, and teacher, sharing her experiences and insights with audiences around the world. Her books, such as &#8220;Through Gates of Splendor,&#8221; &#8220;Passion and Purity,&#8221; and &#8220;Shadow of the Almighty,&#8221; became beloved classics, helping countless readers to deepen their walk with God and consider the cost of discipleship.</p>

<p>Elisabeth&#8217;s journey was not an easy one, but her journey through suffering was not in vain. She spoke often about how death is the doorway to life, and the best display of that is the cross of Christ. In her later years, she wrote a book titled <em>Suffering is Never for Nothing, </em>and you see a flavor of that message in most of what she spoke and wrote about.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em>&#8220;The deepest things that I have learned in my own life have come from the deepest suffering. And out of the deepest waters and the hottest fires have come the deepest things that I know about God.&#8221; -Elisabeth Elliot</em></p>
</blockquote>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="698" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Legacy-Of-Compassion.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2751" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Legacy-Of-Compassion.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Legacy-Of-Compassion-300x204.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/A-Legacy-Of-Compassion-768x524.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>But Elisabeth&#8217;s legacy extended far beyond her written works. Her life was a testament to the transformative power of God&#8217;s love (<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/1+John+4" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">1 John 4:10</a>), and her unwavering commitment to the gospel has inspired countless others to follow in her footsteps. Whether it was ministering to the Waodani tribe, teaching at a Bible college, or mentoring young believers, Elisabeth&#8217;s heart was always focused on sharing the message that God is worthy of our full trust and obedience.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em>&#8220;He is always doing something–the very best thing, the thing we ourselves would certainly choose if we knew the end from the beginning. He is at work to bring us to our full glory.&#8221; -Elisabeth Elliot</em></p>

<p></p>
</div></div>

<p>The Gospel doesn&#8217;t just change our eternal reality, but it changes the way we show up in our jobs, schools, homes, and communities. As the Holy Spirit moves in hearts across the globe, transformation is happening among <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/7-prayers-for-the-7-largest-upgs-in-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">unreached</a> places. Indonesia is no exception. </p>

<p>Indonesia is a nation rich in diversity, with over 17,000 islands and hundreds of distinct ethnic groups and languages. Yet, we know that the gospel is not limited to particular cultures or languages. </p>

<p><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Revelation+7" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Revelation 7:9-10</a> says, </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Revelation+7" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">&#8220;After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying&nbsp; out with a loud voice, &#8216;Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'&#8221;</a></em></p>
</blockquote>

<p>The gospel has the ability to impact every segment of society. Let&#8217;s take a look at a few of these areas as we pray for His Kingdom to come to Indonesia.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2786" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Restoring-Broken-Marriges.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Marriage is a beautiful covenant designed to reflect God&#8217;s love. However, in a world marred by sin, many families struggle with the pain of broken relationships. The gospel, however, offers a path to restoration and reconciliation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the Apostle Paul writes in <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Ephesians+5" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Ephesians 5:25</a>, <em><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Ephesians+5" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">&#8220;Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.&#8221;</a></em> This call to service and selflessness is a transformative, totally counter-cultural message. This model of sacrificial love is what God desires marriages to look like.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kathy Keller explains this beautifully in an <a href="https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/tim-kathy-keller-marriage/">interview</a> with The Gospel Coalition: </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><em>&#8220;All of God&#8217;s designs are beautiful—sometimes intricate, difficult to master, and affected by sin, but glorious nonetheless. In marriages that embrace God&#8217;s design, you both get to &#8216;play the Jesus role.&#8217; </em>In fact, husbands are told to imitate Jesus as the servant-leader. Meaning they will go to any length, even death, to serve and purify his bride (<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Ephesians+5" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Ephesians 5</a>). Wives can look to Jesus as he was worshiped in <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Philippians+2" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Philippians 2</a>—<em>&#8220;submissive to the role of ezer in full knowledge of her equality.&#8221;</em></p>
</blockquote>

<p>This picture started to be displayed in one unreached village in Indonesia, where a husband and wife became followers of Jesus. One day, the sister of the believing wife came to her and said, <em>&#8220;Your husband is different now. I want my husband to treat me the way your husband treats you.&#8221;</em> God&#8217;s design for marriage is that it would point to His love and commitment to us.</p>

<p>In this instance, this newly believing couple&#8217;s marriage was doing just that. It became the entry point for others to hear more about Jesus. As husbands and wives experience the transformative power of the gospel, their marriages become attractive examples of restoration to others in the community.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2787" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman-300x225.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman-768x576.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Empowering-Woman.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In a society where power dynamics can sometimes marginalize women, the gospel offers a radical message of equality and empowerment. The Bible&#8217;s teachings on the equal value of men and women, as exemplified in <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Galatians+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Galatians 3:28</a>, speak to the dignity of women. </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><a href="http://netbible.org/bible/Galatians+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""><em>There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus,&#8221; </em>speaks to the dignity of women&#8221; Galatians 3:28</a></p>
</blockquote>

<p>This truth has the power to challenge and transform the way Indonesian women are perceived and valued within their communities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the New Testament, women are not merely in the background. Jesus talks with them. He weeps with them. When He rises from the dead, who does He first reveal Himself to? Women. Not only that, but after Jesus&#8217; resurrection, women played a massive role in the early church. They fund ministry efforts, gather churches in their homes, and are entrusted to deliver letters from Paul.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Lena, a young woman who grew up Muslim, said it was the very way Jesus interacted with and treated women that drew her to Himself. It was completely different from what she read in her religion&#8217;s holy book. Eventually, she gave her life to Jesus, this man who gave dignity to women.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7-1024x576.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2788" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7-300x169.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7-768x432.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-7.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Indonesia&#8217;s rich diversity is both a blessing and a challenge, as the nation has grappled with a history of ethnic and religious tensions. However, the gospel is not silent on this matter. It calls believers to embrace their unity in Christ and to be agents of reconciliation.</p>

<p>As the Apostle Paul exhorts, </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Ephesians+4" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""><em>&#8220;There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all&#8221; (Ephesians 4:4-6). </em></a></p>
</blockquote>

<p>This message of oneness in Christ transcends the boundaries that often separate people. It empowers Indonesian Christians to build bridges of understanding and cooperation across ethnic and religious lines.</p>

<p>Through the work of local churches and Christian organizations, Indonesians are finding creative ways to celebrate their diversity while embracing their shared identity in Christ. Whether it&#8217;s hosting interfaith dialogues, organizing community service projects, or engaging in cross-cultural exchange programs. These initiatives are fostering a spirit of mutual understanding and respect, paving the way for lasting peace and reconciliation.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2789" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Heading-8.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As Indonesian believers live out the gospel, they are becoming powerful witnesses to their neighbors. What better testimony is there than a life transformed by the gospel? From restoring broken marriages and empowering women to fostering unity across ethnic backgrounds, the good news of Jesus is bringing hope, healing, and redemption to the people of Indonesia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Please join us in continuing to pray for the transformation of hearts, communities, and, ultimately, the nation of Indonesia.</p>

<p><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">&#8220;Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.&nbsp;And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.&nbsp;And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.&nbsp;Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in&nbsp;the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,&nbsp;teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.&#8221;</a></p>
</blockquote>

<p>Therefore, the essence of The Great Commission lies in the command to go forth and make disciples, <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/what-baptism-means-for-muslim-background-believers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">baptizing</a> them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded. This charge not only underscores the importance of <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/muslim-woman-becomes-an-evangelist-for-jesus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">evangelism</a> but also highlights the transformative power of discipleship in our community. </p>

<p>The Great Commission stands as a timeless call for us to actively engage in sharing the love and teachings of Christ with the world, embodying the essence of Christian faith through action and proclamation. It also reveals Jesus&#8217; promise of his eternal presence with his followers throughout all ages.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2604" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The-300x225.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The-768x576.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-The.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The final chapter of Matthew begins with the disciples going to Galilee as instructed by the risen Jesus, showcasing their obedience to him despite their imperfections and doubts <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">(v. 16)</a>. Jesus asserts his authority over heaven and earth, emphasizing his divine kingship and the universal scope of his command to make disciples of all nations<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> (v. 18-19a)</a>.  He then introduces the foundational role of baptism in Christian discipleship, symbolizing initiation into the community of believers <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">(v. 19b)</a>. </p>

<p>Furthermore, the directive to teach new disciples to obey all that Jesus commanded emphasizes the importance of fidelity to God’s word to promote ongoing spiritual growth and instruction within the Christian faith community<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> (v. 20)</a>.  Christ had asked them previously, </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p><a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Luke+6" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ but do not do what I tell you?” (Luke 6:46-49).&nbsp; </a></p>
</blockquote>

<p>Real discipleship cannot happen without obedience to the Lord’s commands. The Son of God’s charge to his disciples here encompasses the essence of faithful Christianity; evangelism, baptism, discipleship, and obedience to his teachings are the central tenets of Christian faith and mission.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2605" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Mandate-To-Go.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p><a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/challenges-encountered-when-sharing-the-gospel-with-muslims-from-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">The command to go</a> and make disciples of all nations in<a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> verse 19 </a>reflects the universal mission entrusted to all believers by Jesus Christ. This order reveals the inclusive nature of the Gospel, calling upon Christians to actively engage with people from diverse backgrounds and <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/what-does-independence-day-in-indonesia-look-like/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">cultures</a> to share the message of salvation. </p>

<p>By reaching out to all nations and peoples, Christians fulfill the mandate to spread the love and teachings of Christ beyond geographical boundaries. The Lord’s command reveals the importance of evangelism and discipleship in fostering a global community of faith united in its devotion to Him.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2608" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Heading-2-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/Matthew+28" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">verse 20</a> Jesus&#8217; promise to be with his followers serves as a source of comfort and assurance for believers. This steadfast pledge guarantees the enduring presence and guidance of Christ in the lives of his disciples, offering solace in times of trial and trouble. </p>

<p>By assuring his eternal companionship, Jesus instills confidence in us to carry out The Great Commission with faith and boldness. This promise not only signifies the intimate relationship between Christ and his followers but also serves as a reminder of his support and empowerment.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="614" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1-1024x614.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2609" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1-1024x614.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1-300x180.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1-768x461.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1-1536x921.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Application-in-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Christians today are actively spreading the message of Christ through various means and initiatives around the globe. Mission trips to different parts of the world allow believers to engage in evangelism and disciple-making among diverse communities. Church ministries focused on outreach, community service, and education embody the spirit of making disciples and teaching obedience to Christ&#8217;s teachings. </p>

<p>Online platforms, social media, and digital evangelism tools enable Christians to reach a global audience with the message of the gospel. Additionally, personal relationships, mentorship programs, and small group gatherings provide opportunities for us to come alongside others on their journey to walk in obedience to Christ.</p>

<p>To actively engage in fulfilling The Great Commission, individuals and churches can adopt several practical tips:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Firstly, prioritize <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/pray-with-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">prayer</a> as the foundation of all efforts, seeking God&#8217;s guidance, wisdom, and empowerment in sharing the gospel. </li>

<li>Secondly, cultivate a heart for missions. This can be done by <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/give-today/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">supporting</a> and participating in local outreach programs, mission trips, and evangelistic events.</li>

<li>Thirdly, seek to be equipped with<a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/blog/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> knowledge</a> of the Bible and effective evangelism strategies so you&#8217;re ready to share the gospel. </li>

<li>Fourthly, foster a culture of discipleship within the church by investing in mentorship relationships, small group studies, and leadership development to nurture spiritual growth and obedience to Jesus&#8217; teachings. </li>
</ul>

<p>By embracing these practical tips, individuals and churches can actively participate in fulfilling The Great Commission and advancing the Kingdom of God in their communities and beyond.</p>

<p>We encourage you to embrace your vital role in spreading the transformative message of Jesus in your own life and community. As followers of Christ, each individual has a unique opportunity to participate in the Great Commission by sharing the love of Jesus, making disciples, and teaching obedience to his teachings. </p>

<p>By actively engaging in evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach, you can impact lives, sow seeds of faith, and contribute to the growth of God&#8217;s kingdom on earth.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Remember that every interaction, every act of kindness, and every conversation can be a powerful opportunity to fulfill the call of The Great Commission. Let us all wholeheartedly embrace this mandate with passion, purpose, and perseverance, knowing that as we seek to walk in obedience to Christ, God can move in powerful ways.</p>

<p></p>
</div></div>

<p>Indonesia, a nation of incredible diversity and <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/islam-in-indonesia-history-and-legend/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">cultural richness</a>, is home to a staggering 789 people groups. Which 235 remain <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/upgs-in-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">unreached</a> with the gospel. Therefore, these <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/letters-from-laborers-why-reach-the-unreached/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">unreached</a> people groups (UPGs) account for more than half of the country&#8217;s population. They span from a few hundred to millions of individuals. With 707 distinct language groups and a population nearing 275 million, Indonesia stands as the fourth most populous nation globally. It presents a unique challenge and opportunity for spreading the word of God.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2591" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Understanding-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>While the challenge of reaching out to <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/upgs-in-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="unengaged groups">unengaged groups</a> in Indonesia is multifaceted. The sheer number of UPGs, combined with the country&#8217;s vast geographical spread across thousands of islands, complicates access and communication. In addition, the diversity of languages and cultures requires tailored approaches to engagement and evangelism. As well as societal and governmental restrictions on proselytizing add another layer of complexity to missionary work.</p>

<p>Despite these <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/challenges-encountered-when-sharing-the-gospel-with-muslims-from-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">challenges</a>, the need for engagement is urgent. Many of these groups such as the Sunda, Madura, and Betawi have minimal exposure to Christianity, with some having less than 0.05% evangelical presence. As a result, we see that their spiritual needs are profound, and the opportunity to make a significant impact is immense.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="681" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness-1024x681.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2592" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness-300x199.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness-768x510.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness-1536x1021.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Prayer-Awareness.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Furthermore, the foundation of any effort to support unengaged groups in Indonesia must be <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/how-to-pray-for-churches-in-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">prayer</a>. In fact, Prayer mobilizes spiritual resources and opens doors that no human effort can. Praying for the <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/the-most-isolated-people-groups-in-indonesia-and-how-to-pray-for-them/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Sunda, Madura, and Betawi people</a>, among others, is a critical first step. This includes <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/5-strategic-prayers-for-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">praying </a>for their openness to the <a href="https://netbible.org/bible/John+3" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">gospel</a>, for the safety and boldness of local believers and missionaries, and for the provision and prosperity of these communities.</p>

<p>Raising awareness is equally important. Many people are unaware of the existence of these <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/what-is-an-unreached-people-group/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">unengaged groups</a> and the challenges they face. By sharing their stories and needs, we can inspire more individuals and churches to pray and take action.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2593" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Supporting.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Local missionaries and churches are on the front lines of engagement with<a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/aceh-the-upg-that-practices-islamic-law/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title=""> UPGs</a>. They understand the cultural and linguistic nuances that are crucial for effective ministry. Supporting them can take various forms, from financial assistance to providing training and resources for evangelism and discipleship.</p>

<p>Organizations like Indopartners Agency and WordPartners are actively involved in equipping local leaders with the tools they need to spread the gospel effectively. By <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/intercessor-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">partnering</a> with such organizations, individuals and churches can amplify their impact.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2594" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating-300x225.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating-768x576.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Creating.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Additionally, given the restrictions on proselytizing in some areas of Indonesia, creative access strategies are essential. This might include engaging in social and community development projects, healthcare, education, or business as platforms for building relationships and sharing the gospel indirectly.</p>

<p>Technology also offers unprecedented opportunities for reaching unengaged groups. From social media to mobile apps and online platforms, digital tools can transcend geographical barriers and deliver the gospel to remote or restricted areas.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture-1024x576.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2595" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture-300x169.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture-768x432.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Culture.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Furthermore, successful engagement with UPGs requires a deep respect for their cultures and traditions. Efforts to share the gospel must be done in ways that honor their cultural identity and avoid unnecessary offense. This includes <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/blog/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">learning</a> about their beliefs, values, and customs, and finding points of connection that can serve as bridges for the gospel.</p>

<p></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope-1024x682.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2596" srcset="https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope-300x200.jpg 300w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope-768x512.jpg 768w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https://prayforindonesia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Stories-of-Hope.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="is-style-default">Despite the challenges, there are encouraging signs of progress. The history of missionary work in Indonesia shows that persistent efforts, grounded in prayer and cultural sensitivity, can yield significant fruit. From 1951 to 1976, the word of God grew and spread across Indonesia, thanks in part to the efforts of Gilead missionaries. More recently, initiatives like the prayer videos for the Sundanese and Betawi people are helping to raise awareness and mobilize prayer support.</p>

<p>In conclusion, supporting unengaged groups in Indonesia requires a varied approach, <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/pray-with-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">combining prayer</a>, <a href="https://prayforindonesia.org/give-today/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">financial support</a>, awareness-raising, and strategic engagement. Here are some practical steps we’d love for you to take:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Pray: Commit to regular prayer for specific unengaged groups in Indonesia. Use resources like prayer videos and prayer guides to inform your prayers.</li>

<li>Educate: Learn about the cultures, languages, and needs of unengaged groups. Share this knowledge with your church and community to raise awareness.</li>

<li>Give: Financially support organizations and missionaries working directly with UPGs in Indonesia. Even small contributions can make a big difference.</li>

<li>Partner: Consider how you or your church can form direct partnerships with Indonesian churches or ministries. This could involve short-term missions, training programs, or other forms of support.</li>

<li>Advocate: Use your voice to advocate for religious freedom and the rights of minority groups in Indonesia. This can help create a more favorable environment for the gospel to spread.</li>
</ul>

<p>The task of reaching unengaged groups in Indonesia with the gospel is daunting but not insurmountable. With a strategic, prayerful, and culturally sensitive approach, we can make a significant impact.</p>

<p> In addition, by supporting local believers, leveraging technology, and respecting cultural differences, we can see more Sundanese, Madurese, Betawi, and other unengaged people groups come to know Jesus as their King and Savior. Lastly, We hope you’ll join us and become part of this exciting movement of God in Indonesia, expecting him to move in powerful ways among these communities!</p>
